At the end of 2011, Base-Net's employees moved into their new office building in Sursee in the Swiss canton of Lucerne. The architecture, together with the lighting and acoustics concepts, expresses what the software enterprise practises day in, day out: willingness to embrace new ideas, space for development, flexibility for change, light and air for inspiration and innovation.

A new district named Ijburg is being built by the City of Amsterdam on seven artificial islands in the Netherlands' Lake IJssel. The spectacular Ijburg office building was opened just recently on the island of Steigereiland. The interior of this new commercial building is largely lit by energy-efficient Nimbus LED luminaires.

Waardenburg Castle, built in 1265, has been completely renovated and modernised while maintaining many of the building‘s historic details. The new headquarters of Valcke Prefab, which makes high-quality prefabricated concrete parts, are a built calling card for the company‘s outstanding innovative strengths. Great thought was also given to the energy scheme with daylight control and controlled night-time ventilation, supported by LED luminaires from Nimbus. The house is a perfect of example of what one expects of contemporary Swiss architecture: reduction to just a few materials and quality of realization: the interior of the family home features captivating raw concrete, which is repeatedly combined with warm wooden surfaces and bold painted surfaces. Nimbus‘s discreet „Rahmenlos“ recessed LED.next ceiling luminaires can be found throughout the building, snugly fitted into the raw concrete ceiling. Thanks to the LED technology, compliance with the Swiss MINERGIE® building standard proved no problem at all.

Both buildings have been fitted throughout with Nimbus LED.next luminaires. With their clear design and reduced formal vocabulary, the LED luminaires fit perfectly and discretely into the overall picture.
