Sustainability Statement

Our statement regarding sustainability is the company itself. As an LED pioneer, we have made a decisive contribution to the breakthrough and establishment of a technology whose core attribute is the economical use of energy and raw materials. As a founding member of the German Sustainable Building Council (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen e.V., DGNB), we also continually promote this message wherever possible.

Sustainability is as much a part of our everyday life as having breakfast together in the company. A solar installation on our roof produces green power for our electric delivery vehicles. Over 90 per cent of our suppliers are less than two hours away by car. As early as the 1990s, we introduced a returnable-deposit system for packaging and we are currently working intensively on banning the last remaining gram of plastic from our cardboard packaging. We are also tenaciously working towards the goal of developing a 'bio plastic' for our Tossoacoustic room dividing system in collaboration with the Institut für Tragkonstruktionen und Konstruktives Entwerfen (itke = Institute of Building Structures and Structural Design) at the university of Stuttgart.

We promise that we will continue to work on bio materials in particular and the issue of sustainability in general as well as on the many small and large building blocks for a sustainable way of doing things.
